Aunt Claudia went a little overboard with gifts for Emily this year! :-)

The box was mailed on December 13, 2010 and didn’t arrive until January 18, 2011. WOW! 4+ weeks for the Post Office to deliver!

Emily was thrilled with the box of presents that arrived for her! She even let her big bro, Max, open a few!

Here she is modeling her new adorable lavender Fancy Nancy dress!

Posing with her new Fancy Nancy doll in a matching “cow” outfit. Emily refers to it as the “cow dress”. Then she makes appropriate cow noises. Mooooooooooooooo!!!

Also in the box were 3 Disney princess ornaments which were a HUGE HIT!! Snow White, Belle & Cinderella!!!

Thank you Aunt Claudia, Uncle Mark, Nick, Alex & Charlie!!!!!!!!!! She is thrilled with her Fancy Nancy Doll, two dress up outfits, 3 cool Fancy Nancy books, a fancy purse & the three princess ornaments!

You know Emily

and Max,

and Kedryn

and Brynn,

Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it,
You could even say it glows.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah …

We had a wonderful Christmas in California this year with my dad, sister Suzanne, niece Brynn & nephew Kedryn. This was the third Christmas without my mom and the first Christmas with us all together since her passing. The chaos & craziness of 4 little munchkins running around certainly provided diversion and prevented us from sitting down for a minute & dwelling on it. No time for sitting with these crazies. Nonetheless, her presence was there and she certainly was on our minds during the holidays as she is every day.

One of Emily’s requests from Santa was nail polish! Boy was she thrilled to find it in her stocking and Papa Dave was happy to paint her fingernails and toes!! :-)

She also received a pretty lavender long sleeve Ariel shirt from Aunt Denise, Uncle Paul, Kyle & Alexis

And a beautiful doll named Marianne from The Oma & Grandpa Dale which Brynn quickly took an interest in

Another highlight for Emily were princess & castle decals for her room from Auntie SuzyQ & Papa Dave. SuzyQ & Brynn took the time to put them up for her and she was thrilled to walk into her new Princess Room!

Max’s only request from Santa was a marble track!!! He was over the moon to receive not only one, but TWO marble tracks!!! He couldn’t get enough of playing marbles!

Papa Dave showing Max & Kedryn how to use the new race car track. The boys loved it!

Brynn was happy to receive a pink Hello Kitty purse and a pretty scarf from The Oma! She actually wore the scarf while ice skating in Tahoe! It was more of a designer, decorative scarf than a winter scarf, but Brynn didn’t seem to care! She wore it with flare!

Brynn with her new panda pillow pet from Emily & Max which she named “Oreo”

Perlar Beads were plentiful and also a huge hit with the kids! Kedryn with a fish that I made for him which he named “Q” after his mama! Ahhhhhhhhh!

Papa Dave, Max & Emily with a gift of Petit Fours from Uncle Frank. The kids were anxious to try their first petite four.

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family & friends. Here’s to a fun & fabulous 2011!

Aunt Denise is on the ball this year and every year!

Emily & Max received a pre-Chrismas gift from Kyle & Alexis

It included a snow kit to make snow, a Princess puzzle, lip balm, perler bead ornament kit, holiday hot wheel cars for Max, etc. They were both thrilled!!! I went out last night and came home to FOUR FULL BOWLS OF FLUFFY WHITE SNOW on the dining room table! :-) They have been playing with it all day. Our house looks like a snow storm went through it! Thanks Denise! :-)

We went to Oak Meadow Park this morning for a playdate and Emily insisted on wearing her red Christmas dress with purple shoes!  :-)

Spending a warm, sunny Christmas afternoon at the local park with friends; Emily would like to wish you & yours a very Merry Christmas!! :-)

Emily getting ready to go to The Los Gatos Carriage Ride tonight

This was the same outfit she wore last year to the carriage ride

I kind of squeezed her into it. :-)

In her car seat giving me a cheesy grin

Saying, “Let’s Go, Mom!” I am no longer “mommy”. She calls me “mom”.

Enjoying a chocolate chip cookie before the Carriage ride

Looking at the beautifully lighted houses in downtown Los Gatos

Wearing Catharine’s reindeer antlers after the ride

A box arrived from the Oma today for Max & Emily with some pre-Christmas gifts

They were very excited about opening it

Emily actually had the box half opened when I got to her

Emily got a beautiful fuscia & orange princess dress with a soft, fluffy tuille skirt

She was very proud of her new dress!

Emily giving Max a neck squeeze

Twirling in front of the XMAS tree

Emily received a Christmas Gift from her friend, Julia, from Down Under!

She excitedly opens it with help from Brown Puppy

The two brown spots on Em’s face is chocolate. She just woke from a nap and slept on two M&Ms which obviously melted on her cheek.

Emily happily hugs her grumpy brother!

She is super excited about her brand new Miss Sunshine watch

She also got a pretty bracelet & necklace which she put around Brown Puppy’s neck! Thanks Sweet Julia! We miss you!
