Max was chosen to be “The Special Person of the Week” in his Kindergarten classroom this week. Here is his poster outlining the “Top Ten Things You Should Know About Max”

He is standing in front of his class with a pointer describing his poster. His classmates were allowed to ask him questions afterwards. Very fun! I went in to read his favorite book, “Go, Dog, Go”, but he ended up reading it to the class instead! He did a fabulous job!!!!

We went to “Buck N Horse” Ranch in Gilroy this afternoon for Max’s first horseback riding lesson with his good buddies, Alex & Sean

He was paired with Chai, a sweet little pony

Max & Chai took one look at each other and bonded immediately

Max feeling quite comfortable riding Chai

Giving Chai a big hug to say goodbye after his lesson. This was kind of a trial basis lesson to see if it would be something he would enjoy doing.

Max had his six year old check-up yesterday afternoon

He is 46 1/2 inches tall and weighs 49 1/2 lbs which puts him in the 75th percentile

Poor Max! He was so worried about the shots that he hid underneath a chair screaming, “I AM A SCAREDY CAT! I AM A SCARED CAT!” It took 2 nurses plus me to hold him.
When the RN left the room, Max was screaming & crying. He looked at me and said, “Mama, let’s get out of here!” Then he opened the door slighly, peeked left then right, then RACED out to the lobby with Emily close behind him! Next thing I know the receptionist is running the door and Max has taken off outside in the building complex. When I caught up to them, he said, “Mama, let’s not ever go back there!”

Things are a changing! Instead of playing in the sand box or with trains or stuffed animals … we are now moving to video games during our playdates.

Max, Brennan & Christian are playing some Wii race car game

They were quite active & vocal while playing

Emily wants to give it a go

Christian was teaching his friends and stomping the competition

Max was putting his full body into the game!

Liam, Brennan’s gorgeous younger brother, just watching the crazies play

Max intently playing the Wii race car game with chocolate chip cookie on his face

Christian, the happy winner of every single Wii race car game

Brennan, preferring to be a spectator, excitedly telling Max which way to turn his car

Olivia, Christian’s cute younger sister, would occasionally walk into the room and give Christian a hug as he was playing the Wii game
We temporarily interrupt the “Chronicles of Ecuador” to report on TEAM ROBB!

Dad flew out from Pennsylvania for the event to support TEAM ROBB!

Signage was made!

Emily wishes Madison luck in the upcoming race! GO MADDY!

Max wishes Matthew luck in the upcoming race! GO MATT!

GO TEAM ROBB!

Waiting at the half way point in the race to give “our runners” support along the way.

This is Steve. He was hanging out along side the road with us waiting for the Robb Family to zoom past!

Max was having fun giving runners high fives as they passed by. He said, “Look at this mommy” and he stuck his hand out. Runners with huge smiles would give him HIGH FIVES as they ran by!

Emily getting excited to see her cousins come through the 1/2 way point!

Max says “GO MADDY”

Jeff arrives at the HALF WAY MARK looking strong, and slightly sweaty, with a smile on his face! Way to go, Jeff!! ![]()

Matt arrives at the HALF WAY MARK looking good!! He even picked Max up and ran with him for awhile. Max was thrilled! Matt was exhausted!

Madison arrives at the HALF WAY MARK grabbing water in one hand and Emily’s hand in another! Looking good! How do you look so beautiful after 7 miles of running?

Jeff arrives at the finish line at 2:10:08!! OH YEA! That’s my cuz! Okay, truth be told, this is not exactly how he looked as he crossed the line! The guy ran the entire way at a good steady clip! I thought he was going to pass out when I saw him.

Matt arrives at the finish line at 2:33:54!! YES!!

Emily gives Matt a squeeze & gazes at him lovingly! She is so proud of her cousin!

Madison coming in for a strong finish!

Madison arrives at the finish line at 3:14:47 with support from her brother, Matt, & a fellow Denver Team Challenge member!! OH YEA!!

Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis – IBD – impacts over one million Americans and millions world-wide, but many suffer in silence because the symptoms are not something that are typically discussed. Crohn’s has affected the lives of my cousins and we support them! Jeff, Madison and Matthew each raised $3600 for the benefit of Crohn’s & Colitis Research. GO TEAM ROBB! YOU ROCK!
