E-mail to Max from Cousin Faith on How to Be a Big Brother
Hey Max and Sarah and Wallace!
Congratulations Max on being a big brother!!! I want to give you some advice, being an older sibling is tough! You are the older one so your little brother or sister looks up to you. You have to teach them things your Mommy and Daddy can't. Your little, well, lets just call it the "little it." The "little it" is going to want to play with you and perhaps copy you on a couple things but thats ok. Now being an older sibling has tons of benefits, example: no handy downs!! You will always have new clothes. So that is a good thing. Plus, since you were an only child for a year? Ya a little more so about 1%percent of your life, you can learn how to share (which will get you a lot of friends in preschool and kindygarten.) So you got to live the two kinds of life. Since you are way wiser than the other sibling, you can boss them around. (Even though I don't recommend it.) Because its not like I ever bossed my brother around. Another thing, even though yo ur Mommy and Daddy are great people to play with, you will get to have a new friend who is a little closer to your age and the "little it" will be there 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week! So you will never be lonely! (but if you do call Phillip ya I have been with him 24 DAYS A WEEK AND 7 BILLION HOURS A DAY!) hahaha no but I really, really love my brother. Even though last night he and his friends sprayed AXE all over the HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! uhhh! Anyways, Max you need to be a good example for the little it. Ok? promise??????? ok so ya uhh what else did I miss??? Oh one more thing, you need to convince your Mom and Dad that Karcyn Jayce Colyer is the best name in the world! Ok so if its a boy MAKE THEM NAME HIM THAT! hahaha anyways the name Emily is the best name ever! I have 2 really good friends named that. So ya name the "the little it" that ok?? ok
Umm that is about it,
Love you Max, Sarah, Wallace, and the "little it"
Love the Best Big Sister in the world!
Faith

Note from Great Aunt Midge (GAM)

Dear Sarah and Max,
Thanks so much for making the effort to come to Colorado for our get together. It was so much fun! We were thrilled to meet Max! He is quite the entertainer. So beautiful! We will talk about him and smile!
Thanks for the neat cutting board. It looks so nice in the kitchen. Spruces it up! Also for the lovely lunch + delicious ice cream! What have I forgotten?
Most of all thanks for traveling so far with your dear little boy so we could meet, love, laugh with him, hold him, squeeze and kiss him.
Love ya! Great Aunt Margie

Marianna on Rolling Over

Hi Max...congratulations on learning how to roll over. It is just the beginning of many, many steps you will take in the future. Now you can get to the remote before mom and dad do. Barney and Sesame Street, yeah! And your hands, about your hands. They look like the hands of a deep sea fisherman to me...although, as much as you love to stick your tongue out, you may one day become a doctor who, on a daily basis, gets to say to your patients: "Stick out your tongue." I love you Max. Great Aunt Marianna. P.S. Today is your cousin Tony's 36th birthday. In a few more years the two of you can play golf together, or go skiing. Tony just spent four days playing golf in Myrtle Beach. I am just finishing up a 10 day vacation. There is nothing in the world, and you can relate to this, like doing what you want, when you want. No schedules, no clocks...sleep when you want...wake up when you want...eat what and when you want. Bye for now Max.
