Halloween Ghost Train
We went to Roaring Camp Railroad's Ghost Train tonight for a train ride through the dark redwood forest as the Legend of Sleepy Hollow was narrated and acted out throughout the forest.
Grandpa Dale, Wallace, Emily & Max boarded the Ghost Train and anxiously awaited the scary journey through the redwoods to see Ichabod Crane running from the Headless Horseman. We all yelled, "RUN Ichabod, RUN!" Max seemed to enjoy the train ride although a few times he said, "I'm scared". I thought he was brave though cause some Ghosts came up to the train and he said, "Go away ghosts. No ghosts on the train. Go Home Ghosts".

Shopping!

In case you were wondering ... this is how I go grocery shopping! There isn't much room in the cart for groceries since Max fills up most of it, but he carefully lines things up in front of his feet. Carefully might be the wrong word choice here. Can you tell how excited Max is to go grocery shopping?

San Gregorio Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze
Our annual San Gregorio tradition continues. I believe this is our 9th year trekking over the hill to get lost in the corn maze and play, like crazy people, on the hay bales. This year the corn stalks were really low & didn't look so healthy, but we still managed to get lost in the maze for about 45 minutes. I use to think that we got lost on purpose and it was a joke. Finally ... I figured out that we really get lost every year!!!Wallace laying on top of some stacked hay bales with Emily happily on his back

Emily @ The Park

Emily enjoying a cheddar bunny or two or three at the park this afternoon. She clearly enjoyed a drink of something as well based on the dribbles on her shirt.
Imagine my surprise when I looked around and found Emily sitting on this table at the park getting into someone's lunch bag!! She was eating someone else's Fig Newtons and drinking their chocolate milk! It deserved a quick photo even though I was a bit embarassed. Turned out it was a neighbor of ours so it wasn't as bad as I originally thought, but still ...

Emily joined Max for a morning preschool park play date yesterday morning with Max's friends, Will and Joey. Here she is chasing Will's dog.
Emily is greeting Lexi (Will's black lab). She LOVES dogs!
Lexi taking a water break
Emily just hanging out at the top of the slide with the wind blown look. She refuses to wear a barret in her hair unless I successfully distract her which is rare. She touches the top of her head every so often to see if I have put anything in it. I think a bang trim is in her near future.

Happily (and independently) climbing up the play structure

Gymboree!
Emily & her friend, Julia, went to check out Gymboree this morning. This was their first visit to Gymboree!Emily jumping on a mini trampoline
Climbing up a slide
Playing with the Gymboree inflatable ball and squealing at other kids if they tried to touch it or get near it! She has this shreaking squeal down pat since she uses it often w/ her brother. It definitely scares the other kids away.
Emily & Julia trying to catch bubbles. This is one of the few pictures of them together! Julia was thrilled to be there and all over the place ... running into walls, tripping on mats, climbing on everything, etc.
Trying to catch bubbles in her mouth
Got one!
Just looking sweet with bubbles in her hair
