It was a bit warm this afternoon so we decided to hit a small local mall to stay cool

She WALKS!!!!!

12 months, 3 weeks & 1 day and she WALKS!!!

I was prepared for this about 2 months ago when we purchased her first pair of white leather walking shoes, but now that it's here I am completely amazed and shocked. She just stood up, smiled at me with her 1 bottom tooth and started walking towards me. I could tell she was very proud of herself. She can't stop walking! She's pretty excited about her new skill and she can tell that I am excited about it as well.

Here she comes walking down the street, She's looking so fine, she's looking so sweet!

Max doesn't let her look or hold any books when he is around 'cause they are all his books. She was thrilled to be able to thumb through the pages without it being abruptly ripped out of her hands. I think she is lookin' around waiting for someone to grab it from her.

Cute tangerine tie-dye sundress compliments of Izzy & Claudia for Emily's 1st Birthday. Boy Oh Boy was Emily in for a surprise when Big Brother Max returned last night. She had baths every night, mama's full attention, healthy meals served promptly, activities planned around her nap schedule and a house full of toys all to herself. Now it's back to life as usual ..., but she is happy to have Max around again. She was trying to give him kisses all day today. She makes fish lips and kissing sounds, but doesn't know exactly how it's done.

Max kept pulling it out and trying to put it in his hair. He was after the attention she was getting by looking so darn cute wearing her newest addition to her barrette line.

Vintage Violet Plaid Barrettes

Emily happily showing off her new Vintage Violet Plaid Barretts. Her good Aussie friend, Julia, recommended "Janie & Jack" for a superior quality barrett so we decided to give it a try and bought a few pairs this afternoon.

Sitting on the back patio with Elmo. Em's fascinated with Elmo. Max seemed to have passed through the Elmo phase until she recently expressed interest in him! Now, he's all about Elmo again!
