First Pair of Shoes

We bought them for her on Sunday @ the mall with the expectation of her walking within the next couple weeks or so ... we are hoping she will wait until Nana and Papa Dave arrive on July 21st

I put them on her today and she picked her feet up like a Tennessee Walking Horse while holding on to the coffee table

There were a lot of pink shoe options at the store, but we decided on these little white leather ones 'cause they will go with everything and she seemed to like them. We put them on her at the store and she had her feet straight out and up in the air in the stroller as she stared at them

She'll be a little, toothless, walking girl real soon ...

The Bench

Sarah, Alex & Sean gave this "Time Out" bench to Max & Emily. Emily LOVES it and thinks it was given to just her!!

Emily reluctantly let Max sit down beside her, but she quickly pushed him off! She didn't want to share the bench with him. She started this shrill like cry whenever he would get near the bench! I took her off it to change her diaper and she freaked out!!! Didn't want the bench to be out of her sight or touch.

Here she is sprawled out across the bench to avoid sharing. We really don't need a "Time Out" bench since our kids are so incredibly good. They just never seem to need time outs! What can I say? Near perfection. They take after their mama! :-) I think I will just paint over the "Time Out" and write "Emily".

Splish Splash

Emily enjoying her bath tonight! And, boy did she ever need it after macaroni & cheese, blueberries and edamame!

She was having so much fun! She kept standing up in the tub and leaning back against the back of the tub! I would sit her down and she would stand up again. She is a very determined little girl.

Big Brother Max got in the tub with her, but I was too afraid to leave her for a second to take a picture. Max gets a little wild in the tub! Emily was laughing and squealing at Max. She burst into tears when I took her out of the tub. I tested the theory and put her back in and she was happy and smiling again. Took her out and she went ballistic! Trying to fling herself back in the tub! I took her to her room to dry her off and change her. I put her on the floor to get her pajamas and she took off crawling like a maniac back into the bathroom, laughing and squealing all the way.

Emily @ Eleven Months

Emily is 11 months old today!

She is a GREAT eater! She eats a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas, breads, yogurt, etc. She has no teeth yet, but she gums everything to death. :-)

She is crusing quite well around the furniture and even stands for a few seconds without holding on to anything. She hasn't taken any independent steps yet, but that is definitely coming soon!! My parents (Nana & Papa Dave) arrive on July 21st. They really want to see her take her first steps so hopefully she can hold off another month. I told them that if she tries to walk then I will just push her down until they get here!! :-)

Emily is a very easy going, contented, happy girl. She just goes with the flow ... kind of like her mother!! :-)

This is Emily's first taste of cake! And, it's not just any cake! This is one of the best cakes from a local Los Gatos bakery! I think she likes it!

Emily's First Baret!

At 10 1/2 months old, Emily's hair is finally long enough to support a baret! She doesn't really need one yet, but I was looking forward to the day that she had enough hair to wear one! Her friend, Julia, has been wearing barets since birth.
