Love Is In The Air ...

Love surely was in the air when Em attended her First Valentine's Day Party. Jamie was flushed with delight when he first laid eyes on little sweet Emily.

Her first suitor was a young, rosey cheeked 17 month old chap named Jamie

He didn't waste a moment going in for that 1st kiss. Em was caught off guard!

Then ... big brother Max's friend, Christian, decided to get in on the action! He has always had his eye on Em!

Em opened her Valentine's when she got home and opened up an adorable pair of pink & white checkered sunglasses from none other than Jamie!

She was pondering her options as she tasted her new sunglasses

Sweet, sweet Emily

Emily has been attempting to crawl over the last couple days! Sometimes she puts her arms to her sides like this. Max always says, "Mommy. Mommy. Baby is flyin'. Baby is flyin'." Then he runs around the livingroom with his arms out like a plane yelling, "I'm flyin'. I'm flyin'."

She is one happy girl! She almost always has a smile on her face and she is incredibly pleasant to be around. I think she'll be mobile within the next month! YIKES!! What will I do when Emily goes one way and Max goes the other?!?!

The Little Pink Girl's Club (LPGC)

Yesterday was the first official Little Pink Girl's Club (aka "LPGC") playdate meeting. The LPGC is the gathering of little girls, born in 2007. The only rules outside of being born in 2007 are that the members must reside in California, be a Democrat and dress in pink for the meetings. :-) (Okay ... everything is true except the Democrat part).

Here are the new members in alphabetical order:

Introducing Miss Claudia Lucille ... born in November 2007 ... and the youngest member of the group!

Introducing Miss Ella Jean ... born in August 2007

Introducing Miss Emily Luisa ... born in July 2007 (3 1/2 weeks early) and interestingly enough had the same August due date as Ella

Introducing Miss Julia May ... born in June 2007 ... the senior member of the LPGC ... not to mention the member with the most hair! I thought I would point that out in case it wasn't obvious.

Super Bowl Sunday

As most everyone knows, Wallace & I are not big football people, but we do watch the Super Bowl every year at Laura & Steve's. Well, maybe "watch" is an overstatement. We go to the Super Bowl party every year. I generally call my dad on the way to find out the teams that are playing and discuss who I should be voting for. My dad chuckles and kindly suggests that I use the word "root" instead of "vote" while speaking with others at the game. Unfortunately, Wallace was sick this year so I took Max & Em to see the game without him. Em is comfortably sitting in the bean bag chair with her football. She was totally "into" the game. She watched every move! I was impressed! Maybe she will be the football fan of the family?!?!
