Emily @ 10 weeks

The Oma requested some close-up shots of the Emster so here you have it!
We do take requests.

Interestingly enough ... this adorable pink outfit with green frogs that she was wearing today was compliments of the Oma

I thought this was a particularly sweet one of Wallace & Emily snuggling together this afternoon

Out With Emily

We had two events yesterday, a hike at Villa Montalvo and some wine tasting at Fogarty Winery.

Here Sarah and Emily are as we started off our hike.

Emily ready for "Back to School Night"

This cute little cotton plum outfit is from Felicia & Stork. It's a 3 month outfit and fits her perfectly. She is out of preemie, out of newborn and now solidly into 3 month clothing! She has lots of thigh bracelets and arm bracelets. She is going to be a chunky little baby. She isn't going to like this when she reads this as a teenager.

Here she is ready to attend Max's Back to School Night. It was an adult only event. Max stayed home with his babysitter. Emily came with us and hung out in the Baby Bjorn. She met his teachers, checked out her Big Brother's art work and met some of his classmate's parents.

Two Month Stats

Emily had her 2 month appointment today and 4 shots!! She burst into tears when she got them. It almost brought me to tears when I saw her cute little face turn bright red and tears squirting out of her eyes!

Here are her 2 month stats:

Weight: 11 lbs. (55th percentile)
Height: 22 inches (40th percentile)
Head Circ. 15 inches (30th percentile)

She is doing well and right on track. She smiles, she coos, she is a very alert and interactive baby. She flinches when she hears Max's voice. :-) Sometimes she even smiles when she hears it. I think the flinching is because he generally gets overexcited when he sees her and she knows that she is about to be licked, squeezed, hugged or kissed on.

Emily @ 9 weeks old

Max & Emily (M&M) right before Max dropped a pear on her head. The fun never stops!

I have never quite understood these strange scrunchy things that go around little baby girl's heads, but we received this lavender one as a gift from my friend, Tricia, so I thought we would try it out on Miss Em Lu just for fun. It looks kind of cute! I think I might use this to compliment her outfits.

Emily @ 7 weeks old

Emily just got a bath and her hair stands up straight once it's clean as you can see. She is a very sweet, happy little girl! Max loves her, but sometimes he points to her crib and says, "Night Night Baby" and expects me to put her in the crib and play with him. He is having a difficult time sharing his mama.

Emily's First Train Trip

We went to Roaring Camp Railroad yesterday and Emily experiences her first train ride.

Here Emily, Max and Mom are ready to go.

This guys is a real authentic looking conductor and he was real sweet on Emily!

We stopped at the top of the run for a walk through the redwoods.

First Concert and First Star

We went to an end of summer party at a friend Drew's today and Emily had a couple firsts. She experienced her first rock concert and she met her first star.

Here Emily is being held by Lex from Survivor Africa and Survivor All Stars. He was a friend of the band. I have to say Lex was very friendly and I think he took a liking to little Emily.

Here Emily, Lex and I are.

Emily and I stayed inside the house because it muted the band a bit and made it enjoyable for her. The band was Smash Mouth. It was quite a hit!

Finally, Emily was hanging out on the deck.
