We went over to Jim & Jo’s for a BBQ yesterday afternoon to check out their new patio, fire pit & grill!  Looks AWESOME!

We went to Round Table Pizza this afternoon and celebrated Liam’s 1st Birthday!

Emily enjoyed pepperoni pizza & an apple/cinnamon pizza before a piece of chocolate cake!

Emily, Max & Christian took their first swim lesson today at DACA (DeAnza College) Swim School

The three of them were together in their first lesson since they were all novices

Christian practicing his kicking technique!  Poor fellow probably couldn’t see a thing with those fogged up googles!

Teacher Michelle helps Emily with her kicking technique

Emily did quite well in her very first swim lesson.  She listened well & waited patiently for her turn with the teacher.

He was having a great time in class

At the end they had a floatation choo choo train through the pool

At the end of the lesson they each received a Pink Ribbon.  Emily was thrilled with the PINK ribbon!  The boys not so much!  :-)

If they complete a total of 3 lessons without crying then they receive a Rainbow Ribbon!  ;-)   One lesson down, two to go for their next ribbon!

Max, Emily & I drove to San Francisco to the California Academy of Sciences yesterday for a Birthday Party

Max LOVED the fish!!!

Emily watched as the sting rays & sharks swam by in the aquarium

Cool sting ray

There were glass viewing areas built into the floor

Max just layed on the floor looking at all the fish swimming by

Odd looking sting ray

The mom of the BD Girl made laminated flash cards for each kid which they hung around their necks.  They were suppose to find all the animals & things on the flash cards.

Christian was one of the party guests and happens to be the cousin of the BD girl, Cricket.

This was Nemo’s friend in the Dentist’s office.  I think his name was Gil?

Max just stared and stared at all the fish

Cool red sea urchin

Max & Emily got her a Happy Birthday Barbie!  It was her first Barbie.  :-)

Happy 3rd Birthday Cricket!

I thought the kids would be exhausted and take a little nap on the way home, but Max just talked and talked and talked about fish all the way home.  He now wants to get fish for his room!  Wallace & I decided to take him to the Monterey Bay Aquarium this weekend since he was so interested in FISH!  He was upset by the fact that alligators, sharks, bears & penguins eat fish.  Even though we tried to explain survival, he just thought it was mean of them to eat fish.  :-)

Riley’s 5th BD party was at Airbourne Gymnastics in Santa Clara

Max had a blast hanging from the parallel bars, walking the beam, jumping on the trampoline, falling face first into the foam pit, etc.

Here he is walking like a monkey across some parallel bars

Emily attempts the rings

She did pretty well

She really enjoyed the foam pit

Her BD party was a Barbie theme

Happy Birthday Riley!!  :-)

The first words out of Emily’s mouth yesterday morning were: “Today is my dance class!  Right, mommy?”

I said, “Yes” and she responded “YEAH!”  :-)

Emily loves her ballet class with Teacher Rachel & her good friend, Megan

Not too mention the pink outfit & fluffy multi-layered  fiesta tutu

Looking thoughtful as she stands on her tip toes

Posing in the mirror

Emily & Megan wore matching fiesta tutus in class yesterday

Emily would look at her tutu and then look at Megans?

She finally realized that they had the same tutu!

Megan’s mom and I are looking forward to the performance at the end of the session.
