Emily having fun in the wading toddler pool this afternoon

We got her a new floatation suit for safety purposes

Taking a rest & visiting with Grandpa & Kathy

Grandpa Dale, Emily & Kathy hanging out together pool side

Emily playing with her cool new Bubble Machine on the back patio

There are bubbles in the air, in the air …

Thanks to Aunt Weezer, Uncle Paul, Kyle & Alexis for the great bubble machine for Emily’s 2nd Birthday! It’s a BIG hit!! It’s suppose to be a bubble machine for the bath tub; however, we just stuck it on the outside of the sliding glass door so they could play with the bubbles on the back patio. Emily and Max were thrilled with it!!!

Grandpa Dale & I took the kids on a walk to the nearby Baskin Robbins. Not sure why we thought they needed more sugar? They were rev up today!

Emily enjoying her chocolate dipped vanilla ice cream cone

I believe that this is her first ice cream “cone” … she eats so slowly that the ice cream was melting so we had to transfer it to a cup. After she finished it all, she said, “MORE”. Reminds me of myself except the ‘slowly’ part.

Emily & Brown Puppy in the waiting room before her 2 year doctor’s appointment

Adorable pink cupcake shirt with lettuce trim & matching pink/white polka dot shorts compliments of The Oma

Still waiting happily …

Wendy, Pediatric RN, measuring Emily, but she insisted on standing on her tip toes

Finally got Emily to stand flat footed

Emily measured 33 inches tall (50th percentile)

Emily weighed in at 26.2 lbs (50th percentile)

Dr. Pamela Silverman lets Emily chose her sticker at the end of her appointment. She chose a pink pony that said, “I Am Special”. Ain’t that the truth!

Today was Emily’s 1st day of Summer Camp! She did great!! Grandpa Dale & I dropped her off this morning and there were no tears at all. She grabbed her lunch box and held her teacher’s hand as they walked to her classroom for the first time. She immediately started participating by working on a puzzle with some of her other classmates. Dale & I decided to sneak a peek to see how she was doing. She noticed us and said, “MOMMY! PAW! PAW!” and then went right back to working on her puzzle.

She is a “Red Bird” just like Max was when he started at 2 years old. Younger siblings follow suit and usually end up in the same classroom as their older sibling.

The theme of this week’s camp is “Carnival” so all the kids in Emily’s class room made Clown Hats and some sort of mask (it looks like). I just noticed the mask as I uploaded this photo.

Here is Emily’s Clown Hat. She has quite the artistic talent, eh? It turns out there is another Emily in her class so they differentiated with the initial of their last name. I told them they could called her “Emme” as we sometimes do; however, there is an “Emi” in her class as well. So, she’ll either be Emily C. or just plain “Em”. I guess we could also use “Luisa”. Grandpa Dale took more pictures so I will post those later too.

Grandpa Dale & I took Max & Emily to “Build-A-Bear” for their first visit

Max chose a black Labrador Retriever puppy

Max & Emily enjoyed watching their puppies being stuffed with fluff

Carrying his black lab home in the box

Max named his black lab … “CAR” probably ’cause he is a car fanatic

Grandpa Dale & I decided to take Max & Emily to Build-A-Bear

Emily choses a brown puppy with a white eye called “Brown Sugar Puppy”

Max & Emily watch as the puppy is filled with stuffing

Putting the sound piece in the puppy that goes “WOOF WOOF”

Very interested in the stuffing process then they chose a heart for their puppies

This new Hanna Anderson srping floral dress is compliments of Oma for Emily’s 2nd BD

Emily is stepping on the black lever that makes the machine fill the stuffing in her puppy

Walking through the mall with her new puppy

Max & the cupcake candle

Max & Grandpa Dale blow out the candles on the cupcake

Enjoying the cupcake, Max style

Again, Max just ate the icing off the cupcake and not the cake part?

Max insists that Emily needs “HIS” assistance in opening her BD gifts

Happy 2nd Birthday Emily!

She enjoyed eating the icing off the cupcake, but wasn’t interested in the cake part

We celebrated with cupcakes last night; however her party will be on August 1st at Lemos Farms in Half Moon Bay (a combined BD party with Max).

Adorable retro dress compliments of Aunt Claudia, Uncle Mark, Cousin Nick, Cousin Alex & Cousin Charlie!

Daddy & Max help Emily open her gift from Oma

CARS!! Emily got her own adorable sparkly girl cars!

Grandpa Dale got her a sweet Teddy Bear named “Sawyer”
