Sarah, Izzy has a card that we will send in the mail tomorrow to Maxy. It was really sweet. She had some left over b-day invites and she said she wanted to write Maxy a note. I told her to go ahead. She said she was going to do all the writing and i wouldn’t need to write in it. I said fine. She then started to “write” and she said what she was “writing” and it went something like this “Maxy, I miss you. You can come to visit me anytime in Minnesota. I’d like to see you. Dear Izzy.” I think the Dear Izzy is suppose to be “Love Izzy” but she just got confused. She then put the card in the envelope and licked it shut herself. So there is no writing in there from me. We will mail it tomorrow. Look out Jacob, you may be replaced by Maxy!!!!

Translation: “Maxy, I miss you. You can come to visit me anytime in Minnesota. I’d like to see you. Dear Izzy.”

We went to dinner last night at a friend’s house. My friend, Sarah, was there with her father. He is visiting from Wales. His name is Craig, but we just call him “BEE” which is his nickname. Emily immediately took to him and called him “Paw Paw”. She would run over to him with her arms up to be picked up. She snuggled into his shoulder like she’d known him her whole 23 months of life. He is now known as Papa Bee!

Emily has good tastes as he is a handsome, kind, lovely man!

S’mores!!

S’more making was a very popular evening event while we were in Tahoe

Nick & Wallace preparing their s’more sandwiches

Alex would toast a marshmellow and then attempt to sell it to his family members. Mark ended up buying a couple of very toasty looking marshmellows at the highest bid of .05 cents

Full-on s’more eating!

Max wasn’t really into the graham crackers or marshmellows. He’s a straight chocolate kind of guy! Although he was interested in sticking marshmellows in the fire … just not interested in eating them.

BEFORE

Natalie, the hairdresser, worked a little too fast so I wasn’t able to get a BEFORE picture so I am using one I took a week or so ago to give you some idea of Em’s long bangs & crazy hair

She was perfectly good for her haircut as she sucked on many different flavors of lollipops opened and given to her by her big brother. Max would try a lick and then decide that he wanted another one so he would give the used one to his sister.

AFTER

Lookin’ cute with her nicely shaped bangs and her cute little barret that made it until right before we got in the car. Emily noticed it and threw it on the ground. “No barret, mommy!”

Claudia & I bravely decided to take all the cousins to Picture People to attempt to get a cousin shot! To get them all to be still, smile, look at the camera and cooperate took a little work, but the results were pretty good!

Max’s preschool buddy, Brennan, turns 4 and celebrates his BD at Chuck E. Cheese. This was the first time Max has been to good ole Chuck E. Cheese and he absolutely LOVED it!! He ran around with tokens in a little cup putting tokens in all the machines he could find and then would run to the next one.
Happy Birthday Brennan!!

Max & Christian go to town on the chocolate cake!!!! :-)
