Today’s project was a bird feeder made with 2 clay pots stacked together upside down with a pot base on the top as the feeder. Above is an example of the finished product; however, we weren’t using tiles as this shows. The children were to paint the clay pots with acrylic paints.
Emily starts painting her bird feeder with a vibrant green
Then moves to a pretty deep purple! She had a great time painting the pots various colors. She used red, blue, yellow & white too! You will have to wait to see her finished product next week once it’s put together. She was very focused on her painting.
The next activity was shaving cream! The instructor, Erin, put shaving cream all over the table and then put drops of food coloring on the cream so the kids could have fun playing in the shaving cream and making a color! Emily is underneath the instructor’s arm in this photo.
Emily put her hands in the shaving cream and started playing straight away
Then she started putting it on her face!! I was a bit surprised by this!!!
She rubbed it on her cheeks and chin and then started to put it on her ears and in her hair!!!
She was wondering why everyone was looking and laughing at her!
