Things started to melt down some …

"Puppy"

Emily & Julia meet a senior black lab at the park. Emily points to the lab and says, “Puppy”. This is one of her many new words! Although she pointed to a stuffed reindeer this morning and called it “Puppy” too so she isn’t too discerning right now.

Julia wants to take “Puppy” for a walk

Emily pats “Puppy” on the head

Then she tries to touch his nose. That’s another one of her new words. “NOSE”! She likes to touch and/or point at everyone’s nose and say, “NOSE”!

Santa Claus is coming to town

He’s making a list

And checking it twice; Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice

Santa Claus is coming to town

Max, Samantha, Emily & Matthew are modeling their new Christmas pajamas called “Christmas Eve” which features a festive pattern of Santa Claus and decorated Christmas trees! Samantha & Emily are wearing a long sleeve ruffled nightgown with the addition of pleats and 3 satin bows across the front. Contrast lettuce edge trim on sleeves and hem. Matthew & Max are wearing comfortable, loose-fitting, super soft pajamas in a two-piece matching set which includes long-sleeve top and pants.

We decided to take the kids on a Holiday Carriage Ride. We took a horse-drawn carriage through the town’s Almond Grove district. We saw some of the town’s most beautiful historic homes and along downtown’s festively decorated North Santa Cruz Avenue. Max & Wallace didn’t join us for the event as they had a previously planned Boy’s Night Out! So, Emily and I enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends! This was our horse “Scotty”. Hope you can see him. It was pretty dark out there.

Emily decides to get in on Tricia’s Family shot. Nobody seemed to mind! They all welcomed her with open arms!

Emily is modeling her New Blue Mrs. Claus Fur Snowflake Dress & Hat from Auntie Q, Uncle Scott, Cousin Brynn & Cousin Kedryn

This adorable brillant blue corduroy dress has fur accents, a snowflake embroidered skirt, and a white Pom Pom Tie Bow

Emily wasn’t too keen on the matching hat!

Here she is anxiously waiting for a Holiday Carriage Ride in downtown Los Gatos tonight! She was thrilled with the horses!! More on the Holiday Carriage Ride in another post …

Our intentions were to go to a Christmas Tree Farm for a fun ‘n unique playdate this morning; however, we ended up at the beach in Half Moon Bay because the tree farm was “CLOSED”!

Jacob, Max & Christian were excited about the beach and it turns out that I forgot Max’s shoes so it worked out in my favor this time. If you recall, I also forgot his shoes when we went to “Gilroy Gardens” once which is an amusement theme park which proved to be a bit of a problem. We weren’t at Gilroy Gardens though. We were at the freezing cold, windy beach in December!!! :-)

Max seemed very happy & content on the beach!

Kathy & Christian

Max & Jacob collected shells at the beach and organized them on a nearby picnic table

Max was counting the shells. He would say, “Count with me. ONE. TWO. THREE. FOUR. SEVENTEEN.”

Christian was much more interested in making a dam in the sand, but we kind of pushed him into sitting on the bench to get a group shot. He clearly wasn’t that into it! Truth be told, doesn’t look like any of them are that into it!!

Cute Boys by the Sea!

Max taking his shell searching seriously

Taking a little snack break. It ain’t easy collectin’ shells!

The End.

We spent Thanksgiving in Kansas City this past year for our 2nd Crazy Family Reunion. The 1st Crazy Family Reunion was in July 2005 on a Disney Cruise. I have failed to post pictures from this memorable event, not because it wasn’t worthy, but because of traveling & time constraints. Here are a few pics of Emily with the CRAZIES!!!

These are some of Emily’s cousins. If I am figuring this correctly .. they are her 3rd cousins! Wallace will correct me if I am wrong. :-)

Emily & Grandpa Dale

Emily enjoying her time with Grandpa!
She would see him and then race down the hall towards him with her arms out! She loves her Grandpa!

Ettore meets Emily for the first time. Clearly there is some chocolate consumption going on over here!

Chocolate consumption obviously continues …
